Driving through Severodonetsk

A couple of friends took a drive to see their old apartment building in Severodonetsk. All they have found is ruins and more ruins. Some buildings were cut on half, twice. Grocery stores, schools, apartment building are now rubble. There are people under the rubble, but russians refuse to rescue them. The smell is unbearable. Any building that’s left is used by russian forces and have a russian flag on them.

In order to move around the city everyone needs to have a special pass issued after “filtration”. If you drive a car in Severodonetsk, you better have a russian flag inside to avoid any trouble. Kids are still there. There is a girl rollerscating, the children of war. How did your summer go?

Russian ballistic missile hit Odesa port

Four ballistic Russian missile that were fired from a submarine in the Black Sea hit Odesa seaport. Two missiles were destroyed by Ukrainian military forces, but hit the port. The missiles hit the oil pump. Even though a day earlier, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and UN have signed an agreement to secure a corridor for Ukrainian grain transportation. The Ukrainian grain was being prepared to be loaded on ships was the Russian target.

Russian claim they targeted a military ship that was carrying “Harpoon” rockets. As you can clearly see from the video there are no military targets as Russians are claiming.

To add to this bizarre behavior, a UN official stated that Russia didn’t sign an agreement that was prohibiting Russia to fire rockets.

Poland to buy Korean weapons

Poland announced today it will buy South Korean tanks and war planes to defend its territory.

Poland is a NATO member, but is unsure NATO can defend Poland in case of a Russian invasion. In addition, Poland sees difficulties to purchase necessary weaponry from NATO countries as it has shown in a recent help to Ukraine. Thus Poland decided to protect its security by approaching North Korea. The Polish government is discussing with the Korean defense companies the acquisition of K-2 tanks from Hyundai Rotem, FA50 light attack aircraft from KAI, and K9 self-propelled artillery from Hanwha under a long-term arrangement. The three companies’ export volume could reach up to 19 trillion Korean won ($14.5 billion) when all of those sales are added up. Specifically, Hyundai Rotem is talking with Poland to supply 180 K2 tanks (worth 3 trillion KRW, or $2.3 billion) by 2024, and the country may additionally purchase 400 K2 tanks by 2030, worth 8 trillion KRW, or $6.1 billion. KAI is discussing selling 48 light attack aircraft FA50 for 3.4 trillion KRW, or $2.6 billion. Poland also plans to purchase 670 K9 self-propelled artillery that worth 4-5 trillion KRW, or $3 billion to $3.8 billion. The purchase agreement between Poland and South Korea will be signed this week.
